Grade 1 Parent and Youth Sessions (follow Faith Formation calendar for all other weeks)
Church of Our Lady of the Lakes
  • Come for one hour and fifteen minutes anytime between 3:30-5:45 P.M. on Wednesday, November 6.  Together, you and your child will participate in a self-guided tour of the church.
  • Come for one hour and fifteen minutes anytime between 3:30-5:45 P.M. on Wednesday, January 22.  Together, you and your child will participate in a variety of self-directed activities related to the liturgical year.
Church of Saint Mary
  • Come for one hour and fifteen minutes anytime between 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 15.  Together, you and your child will participate in a variety of self-directed activities related to the liturgical year.
  • Come for one hour and fifteen minutes anytime between 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 4.  Together, you and your child will participate in a self-guided tour of the church.
Grade 2
The main focus for students in Grade 2 is preparing them for receiving the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion.

Grades 3-4 Parent and Youth Sessions (follow Faith Formation calendar for all other weeks)
​Church of Our Lady of the Lakes
  • Come for one hour and fifteen minutes anytime between 3:30-5:45 P.M. on Wednesday, October 30.  Together, you and your child will participate in a variety of self-directed activities related to saints.
  • Come for one hour and fifteen minutes anytime between 3:30-5:45 P.M. on Wednesday, February 19.  Together, you and your child will participate in a variety of self-directed activities related to the season of Lent and Holy Week.
Church of Saint Mary
  • Come for one hour and fifteen minutes anytime between 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 23.  Together, you and your child will participate in a variety of self-directed activities related to saints.
  • Come for one hour and fifteen minutes anytime between 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 11.  Together, you and your child will participate in a variety of self-directed activities related to the season of Lent and Holy Week.​​
Grade 5  Parent and Youth Sessions (follow Faith Formation calendar for all other weeks)
Church of Our Lady of the Lakes
  • Participate in a Hunger Banquet with your child from 3:15-4:30 P.M. (during regular class time only) on Wednesday, September 25.  (October is World Hunger Action Month.)  A Hunger Banquet simulates the imbalanced distribution of food in our world and provides an opportunity for you and your child to actively express solidarity with the poor.  At the meal, each person will randomly be assigned to an economic level and will be served a meal representative of that economic standard of living.  Please come to the meal hungry.
  • Join your child from 3:30-4:30 P.M. (during regular class time only) on Wednesday, April 29.  Together, you and your child will play a board game called Divinity to learn about the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  Snacks will be served.
Church of Saint Mary

  • Participate in a Seder Meal (Passover Meal) with your child from 3:30-4:30 P.M. (during regular class time only) on Wednesday, April 1.  The meal recalls the night the Angel of Death passed over the Hebrews (Israelites) in the land of Egypt and is called a Seder meal because the meal takes place in a particular order, including lighting candles, washing hands, drinking “wine” (grape juice), and eating parsley, matzah, bitter herbs, charoset (a mixture of apples, cinnamon, and nuts), hard-boiled eggs, and lamb.

  • Come for one hour and fifteen minutes anytime between 4:00-6:45 P.M. (before and during regular class time only) on Wednesday, November 20.  Together, you and your child will participate in a variety of self-directed activities related to the life of Moses.
