Pastoral Care and Community Life

Communion Ministry to the Hospital, Nursing Homes, and Homebound

We have a dedicated group of individuals who bring Communion to members of our area faith community who are hospitalized, live in a nursing home, or are homebound. If you would like to participate in this ministry - either as a volunteer or as a recipient, please contact the office and we will have the appropriate person contact you.

Are you aware that due to data privacy laws, hospitals and nursing homes cannot give us the names of Catholics who are admitted? We rely on family members to notify us so that our pastoral care volunteers can visit.

Health Ministry Team

Did you know that we have a team of dedicated volunteers who visit parishioners? For more information, please download the Health Ministry brochure.

Friends in Christ

Picture
We all experience challenges in our lives when there is illness, death in the family, surgery, or bringing a new baby home.  "Friends in Christ" would like to assist by providing a simple homemade meal. We encourage those who would like to help with this ministry to please call, text, or email us. Thank you for caring; you can make a difference in someone's life.

Initially, this ministry will begin by serving families in the Spicer-New London area. If there are volunteers willing to coordinate meals for families in other parts of the county, we would be happy to share ideas on how to get it started.
